Artist's Statement

My art is a journey through multiple meanings and interpretations. It is about choosing a clear simple gesture to express a potpourri of thoughts and feelings.

The sculptures are a reflection of the struggling self in its effort to create an inner space for the examination of accumulated perceptions and experiences. This struggle often necessitates a visual representation through metaphor.

In my work, I strive to create a silent mystery…illusory, calming, and invitational. In this exploratory space one has the freedom to remain true to oneself and re-examine the nature of that truth.
